Jerald A. Bryant, D.D.S.
Dr. Bryant grew up on a farm in Cookeville. He graduated from Cookeville High School in 1991. After Attending the University of Memphis and TN Technological University, he attended dental school at The University of Tennessee in Memphis. He graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2001 and moved back to Cookeville to begin his practice.
It is Dr. Bryant’s desire to stay on the cutting edge of Dentistry. With that goal in mind, he strives to exceed the continuing education requirements required each year by his profession and encourages his staff to do the same. His most recent training includes the completion of a year long class on Implantology at the Medical College of Georgia. After completing several case presentations, he will be eligible to become a Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. Dr. Bryant is also a member of many other professional organizations, including: The American Dental Association, The Tennessee Dental Association and The 6th District Dental Society.
Dr. Bryant also volunteers for community outreach activities each year. This includes working in the clinic at the Cookeville Rescue Mission. Dr. Bryant and his staff feel that it is important to be able to help those in need through dental outreach programs.
Dr. Bryant, his wife, Tonya, and their two sons, and daughter are happy to call Cookeville home. They are active members of the community and attend Stevens Street Baptist Church.

Dr. Balch is a native of Newport, TN, where he graduated from Cocke County High School. After graduating from Carson-Newman College in 2002 with a BA in Biology, he attended The University of Tennessee in Memphis College of Dentistry. He graduated as a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2006. While attending UT, Dr. Balch was inducted into the Dean’s Odontological Society in 2005, and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Honor Society in 2006. He was awarded the Malcom B. Overby Leadership Award in 2005 and he received the Academy of General Dentistry Award in 2006.
It is Dr. Balch’s goal to meet and exceed the continuing education requirements set forth by the dental profession each year. In 2007 he became certified to provide Invisalign Orthodontic Treatment. He plans to further his education by pursuing a specialty license in Prosthodontics. He continues to be active in professional organizations such as The Academy of General Dentistry, The American Dental Education Association, The American Dental Association, and the Tennessee Dental Association.
Dr. Balch volunteered in the “Give Kids A Smile Day” 2003-2005.
Dr. Balch and his wife live in Cookeville.

Michelle B. Alley, RDH, BS
Michelle has been on our staff for over 5 years. She graduated from Pickett County High School and then attended TN Technological University for Pre-Dental Hygiene. In 1997 she received her Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene from TN State University and then furthered her degree by earning her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene in 2000. Michelle is also certified in the administering and monitering of nitrous oxide.
Michelle stays up to date in her profession by taking continuing education courses each year. She also participates in professional associations such as The 6th District TDHA and the ADHA, where she served as the president and as a trustee for two years.
Michelle lives in Cookeville with her husband and two sons.

Miki Hopkins, BS, RDH
Miki is a native of Cookeville. She graduated from TN Technological University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics and Nutrition. In 2004 she graduated from Western Kentucky University with her Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. Miki is also certified in the administration and monitoring of nitrous oxide.
Miki is a member of the Sigma Phi Alpha Dental Hygiene Honor Society. She continues her professional development with her membership in the ADHA and The 6th District TDHA, where she has served as the vice president. She also completes continuing education courses each year.
Miki and her husband live in Cookeville, with their son. They are also foster parents. They attend The River Community Church.

Jamie Kinnaird, RDH
Jamie is a native of Cookeville. She attended TN Technological University for Pre-Dental Hygiene, and then completed her Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene at Chattanooga State Technical Community College. Jamie has worked as a hygienist since graduating in 2003, and joined our staff in 2006. Jamie is also certified in the administration and monitoring of nitrous oxide.
Jaime is happy to practice her chosen profession in her home town. She continues her professional development by attending continuing education classes each year.
Jamie lives with her husband and son in Cookeville. They attend Collegeside Church of Christ.

Sharon A. Smith, RDA
Sharon has been a Registered Dental Assistant since 1999 when she completed her training at TN Technology Center in Livingston. Sharon joined our office in 2002. She has also received expanded certifications in coronal polishing, nitrous oxide monitoring, and sealant application. She has also received special training in the design and manufacture of Cerec crowns.
Each year, Sharon completes a series of continuing education classes to stay up to date in the dental field. She is a member of the ADAA, a professional association for assistants.
Sharon and her husband live in Jackson County. They have two married daughters and two grandchildren. |

Ashley Slaughter, RDA
Ashley is from Hampshire, TN. After completing the required course work, she became a registered dental assistant in 2004 and has experience in both oral surgery and general dentistry. She has also received expanded certification in nitrous monitoring and sealant application. Ashley has also attended special training on dental implants. In addition, Ashley completes continuing education courses each year to expand her dental knowledge.
Ashley and her husband make their home in Cookeville.

Gay Crabtree, RDA
Gay has been in the dental industry since 1996 and has both front office and clinical experience. After attending training in Loundon, TN and at TN Technology Center in Livingston, she became a Registered Dental Assistant in 2006. She has also received expanded certification in nitrous monitoring and sealant application. Gay joined our clinical team soon after she earned her registration. Gay participates in continuing education classes each year to stay up to date in the dental field.
Gay, her husband, and their three teenage sons live in the Double Springs Community. They all enjoy the sport of football.

Anca Sexton, RDA
Anca is a native of Romania where she studied computer programming. She served as an interpreter for mission trips in Romania before coming to the United States, and speaks several languages. In the past, Anca worked in our insurance and billing office.
Anca received her assisting education at TN State Tech in Livingston and became registered in 2007. She currently assists Dr. Balch and has continued her education by studying to receive expanded duties certifications in sealant application and nitrous oxide monitering.
Anca and her husband and daughter live in Cookeville and attend Crossroads Community Church in Baxter.

Tonya Bryant, BS
Tonya serves as our practice administrator. She graduated from TN Technological University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and has also received special training in dental practice management and in meeting OSHA and HIPAA standards. Tonya has worked in the dental field since 2001. Each year, Tonya attends continuing education classes to further her knowledge of the dental field.
Tonya is happy to be able to work with her husband, Dr. Bryant.

Bethany Moore, RDA
Bethany graduated from Cookeville High School and began her dental career with us in 2003 as our sterilization tech. She received her Registered Dental Assistant license after completing her training at TN Technology Center in Livingston. She has also received expanded certification in the application of sealants. Bethany rejoined our team in 2006 as a hygiene assistant.
Today, Bethany is our scheduling coordinator. She also continues to pursue her dental career by attending continuing education courses and studying to receive further expanded duties certifications.
Bethany lives in Cookeville with her husband and son.

Karen Bradford, BS
Karen is originally from east Tennessee and has lived in Putnam County since attending TN Technological University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics with a minor in business administration. Karen has been working in the medical and dental fields since 1994. Karen is our treatment coordinator and will help you in scheduling your recommended treatment. In the past, Karen has learned much through membership in professional organizations. She is very proactive and is always expanding her knowledge of the dental field, through both continuing education courses and daily experience.
Karen and her husband live in Cookeville with their daughter and son. They are active in their church, Nash Grove Baptist.

Angel Presley
Angel is a native of Monterey and has a background that includes both dentistry and banking. Angel is our Financial Coordinator. She handles billing and insurance for our office. As a dental assistant, Angel received clinical training in dentistry. She continues to expand her knowledge of the financial aspects of dentistry through training and classwork.
Angel lives in Cookeville with her husband and daughter, where they attend Stevens Street Baptist.
